Save the Date PoemIt still may be early,
But we hope you're delighted,
'Cause we've set the date and we're very excited.
In the month of blank our vows will be made,
Saturday, the twentieth-fourth is the day to be saved....
Name and Name will marry on date in wherever.
I don't remember where I got this one. However, I bet I am not the first to know it either. Memories of Loved OnesNot sure yet, what we are going to do about representing our grandparents/loved ones who have passed at the wedding. I know I will do some kind of collage or presentation of pictures for us. But we might have some pictures of the people who are looking down upon us.
Here's a great poem I found on Knottie Scarlet 856 planning bio that we might use:
We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We remember how you look.
Now all we have is memories.
And your pictures in our book.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our hearts.
Passage, possibly to be read at wedding/ or on programs...You have known each other from the first glance of acquaintance to this point of commitment. At some point, you decided to marry. From that moment of yes, to this moment of yes, indeed, you have been making commitments in an informal way. All of those conversations that were held in a car, or over a meal, or during long walks – all those conversations that began with, “When we’re married”, and continued with “I will” and “you will” and “we will” – all those late night talks that included “someday” and “somehow” and “maybe” – and all those promises that are unspoken matters of the heart. All these common things, and more, are the real process of a wedding.
The symbolic vows that you are about to make are a way of saying to one another, “You know all those things that we’ve promised, and hoped, and dreamed – well, I meant it all, every word.”
Look at one another and remember this moment in time. Before this moment you have been many things to one another – acquaintance, friend, companion, lover, dancing partner, even teacher, for you have learned much from one another these past few years. Shortly you shall say a few words that will take you across a threshold of life, and things between you will never quite be the same.
For after today you shall say to the world –
This is my husband. This is my wife.

Camera Scavenger Hunt
So, I love this idea. It gives the guests something to do and a better way to interact with others around them. I would like to supply some cameras, but maybe suggest that they us theirs and have photocards where they can upload them? Maybe do both, in case someone wants to do it but doesn't have a camera? Thoughts....
Found this on a knottie southernprincessblur19 who actually borrowed this from a knottie whose name is unknown. Cool idea! I don't know what I'd without the knotties and their ideas.
